SF6 insulated test transformers are especially designed for testing metal-clad switchgear(GIS) ,Gas-insulated Metal Enclosed Transmission Line(GIL) in the factory and on-site,and for testing on-site substation equipment. The conventional transformers can be flanged directly to the GIS/GIL.This makes testing of such GIS installations possible without feeding them through an air-SF6 bushing. Therefore, the merits of the encapsulation remains effective also during the testing which is of importance for Partial-Discharge tests. These systems are particularly suited for on-site tests of GIS/GIL after assembly. In the factory, they allow to test sub-assemblies and components directly in the manufacturing line, thus avoiding transportation to a central test facility, and extra handling.

Partial discharge amount of equipment:1-3 pc under rated voltage(normal environment)
Temperature rise:The temperature rise does not exceed 65k when the rated current operates for 60 minutes(50Hz).
Advantages
High voltage is fully sealed in a shielded space, ensuring safe and reliable experiments.
The overall partial discharge can be controlled within 1-3 pc.
It has a small volume, occupying the minimum space and lightweight components.
Built-in high voltage isolation switch enables multi-purpose use.
Easy to connect, directly connected to the test sample, making experiments more convenient.
Capable of withstanding long-distance transportation with a sturdy and durable structure.
Reduced requirements for system power capacity.
